On March 18th, the TeraWireless consortium held its official virtual Kick-off meeting, marking an important milestone and an excellent opportunity for members to connect, build relationships, and align on key project objectives.
Dr. Angeliki Alexiou, Project Coordinator from the University of Piraeus Research Center (UPRC) in Greece, opened the meeting with a warm welcome to the attending representatives. She shared the project’s vision and mission — to train the next generation of scientists poised to advance the efficiency and capabilities within the terahertz (THz) spectrum.
Following the introduction, the European Commission (EC) Project Officer provided an overview of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) requirements, offering clarifications and answering questions from consortium members. The discussion then turned to defining the roles and responsibilities of each partner, with particular emphasis on the recruitment, supervision, and training of 13 research fellows.
With recruitment strategies and operational management currently at the forefront, the consortium reviewed EC guidelines, best practices, and essential reference materials to ensure a strong start.
The meeting concluded on a high note, with participants feeling energized and optimistic about the collaborative four-year journey ahead. The TeraWireless consortium is fully committed to delivering impactful research and training in the terahertz field.
