Hello! I am Federico Ruggeri from Gambassi Terme, Italy.

I completed my Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering at University of Pisa, Italy, from 2022 to 2025, where my specialization primarily focused on Internet and Wireless Communications.

After graduating, I worked in Wiser s.r.l., Italy, for one year as a software developer, where I worked on the development of simulations to assess the feasibility of a datalink system working at high speeds.

During my work experience, I was introduced to the mechanics of industrial projects.  This experience helped me develop hands-on understanding of validation strategies, collaborative skills, scripting and technical reports writing.

As part of the TeraWireless project, I am currently a PhD candidate at Ranplan Group AB, Sweden. My research focuses on the realization of a ray tracer working at THz frequencies and on the generation of a measurement dataset, including the use of THz signal models, algorithms and simulation techniques to provide the research community with a useful tool to study next generation communication systems. I will also apply acceleration structures, AI and use numerical programs to support the project goals.

Being part of the TeraWireless project provides me with a unique opportunity to collaborate internationally in a high-level research environment, while contributing to the advances of telecommunications field.
